Organizing Solutions for People With ADHD – Tips and Tools to Help You Take Charge of Your Life and Get Organized by Pinsky, Susan C.
With ADHD, completing simple life tasks such as finishing homework, buying groceries, or hanging out with friend can be difficult. Pinksy, being a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers coupled with the real-life experience of taking care of her child with ADHD has created a comprehensive guide that works toward solving problems that stem from ADHD. This book strives for the reader to take back control of his/her life when ADHD feels too overwhelming. By providing simple changes in your lifestyles with maximum results, it will hopefully result in the reader leading a happier, organized and less stressful life.

ADHD As A Difference In Cognition, Not A Disorder: Stephen Tonti at TEDxCMU
Stephen Tonti, a student, filmmaker, writer, director and ADHD patient uses his real life experiences to stress society’s irrational perspective on ADHD. His presentation focuses on how ADHD is “a difference in cognition, not a disorder, that it’s attention different not attention deficit”. The fact that society needs to “fix” people with ADHD, but there’s no “fixing” only sedating. This video also accents modern society’s reliance on medication, such as Ritalin and Concerta being given to young children with ADHD without much thought, while there’s many other healthy alternatives that can also have positive effects. That we throw medicine at young patients and “hope” it works, if not we try other medicines without thinking of the many possible long-term detrimental effects. He hopes that society, especially schools change their perspectives on ADHD patients to provide the proper support and care and ensure a healthy, happy life.
